EVP, Customer Success and Chief Customer Officer

Richard Welch

Richard brings 35 years of IT software development/QA, customer success, service, consulting, training and technical support experience to Ipswitch.  He is responsible for improving customers’ experiences, overall satisfaction and their success with our technology and services. Most recently Richard was the vice president of worldwide customer support and operations at Liaison International. Before Liaison, Richard spent ten years as vice president of post-sales customer support services and operations for SolidWorks Corp, where he oversaw a 25 percent increase in customer satisfaction while maintenance revenues increased 350 percent as a result.

Richard has also held senior executive positions at Netegrity, ATG and Parametric Technology Corp, with prior roles held at Stone and Webster Corporation and Prime Computer. He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
