Millennials, just like every generation, are different than the generation before or after. This group has taken plenty of heat and has been typecast as lazy, entitled and unwilling to work – but the stereotype isn’t always accurate. Millennials are often creating their own businesses on the side, volunteering on social matters and fostering personal hobbies and activities to promote personal growth. Truths and myths about this growing sector of Millennials in the workplace are being discussed as well as strategies to address their needs. Understanding Millennials in the context of work place changes helps identify a path toward recruiting and retaining the workforce of the future. Panelists are sharing their experiences and successes with Millennial employees.
Steven Rotman is joined by panelists, Al Zink, Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Care.com; Weber Torres, Consultant and Executive Coach at Draft Kings, Seth Matheson, Director Talent Acquisition at Toast and a representative from Wayfair.
