Ipswitch’s Steven Rotman Recognized as One of Burlington’s Local Heroes for Charitable Work
BURLINGTON, Mass. – May 21, 2018 – Ipswitch®, producer of award-winning and easy to use secure file transfer and network management software, announced that Steven Rotman, Chief People Officer, was named the Chopps Champion in Technology winner by the Boston Marriott Burlington, a community-wide contest recognizing Burlington’s local heroes. The Boston Marriott Burlington donates $1,000 to a designated charity of each winner. Rotman selected the Massachusetts Wonderfund, a private, nonprofit, 501(c)3 that serves children engaged with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) through a unique and exclusive partnership.
“Ipswitch takes a position of responsibility in helping to support the local communities where employees and customers live and work, and I am honored to be part of that culture,” said Steven Rotman. “Ipswitch is filled with people who are passionate about various local causes, and we are delighted to support so many. I’m thrilled that this recognition affords the Wonderfund the opportunity to do more of its great work serving children throughout Massachusetts.”
The Wonderfund invests in children receiving services from DCF by providing enrichment opportunities and access to emergency aid and transitional necessities.
Rotman is Executive Leader of Ipswitch's Corporate Responsibility Program, the Ipswitch iCare program, enabling and encouraging employees to contribute to local causes through volunteer opportunities, donation matching and charitable grants. Last year, Ipswitch sponsored a wide range of organizations and was proud to donate to more than 100 charities. Past donations have gone to Camp Sunshine, Equal Justice Initiative, Foundation To Be Named Later, The Greater Boston Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Movember, National Breast Cancer Foundation, Red Nose Day and more.
Ipswitch also provides matching employee giving, acknowledges work-anniversary dates through charitable donations and honors growing Ipswitch families with a charitable gift close to the heart of the employee.
Chopp Champions and their selected charities were honored during a private awards ceremony on Thursday, May 17. Rotman was joined by Jennifer Kitchenham, Executive Director of the Wonderfund.
