Ipswitch MOVEit Service Pack 2 Delivers Increased Visibility, Security and Control over Secure and Compliant Data Transfer
BURLINGTON, Mass. – Oct. 30, 2018 – Ipswitch®, producer of award-winning and easy-to-use secure file transfer and network management software, released the second update to MOVEit® 2018 secure file transfer in the form of Service Pack 2, which includes the new MOVEit Transfer Live View that shows in-progress and recently completed file transfer activities and metrics in real-time. The release also includes a new MOVEit Automation dashboard that shows recent activities and system metrics related to provide actionable data and keep their automated tasks running smoothly.
“MOVEit customers expect optimum visibility and control into the secure and compliant transfer of sensitive data between partners, customers, users and systems, and Ipswitch has delivered with this recent release,” said John Picinich, Director of Product Management at Ipswitch. “The two new dashboards added in Service Pack 2 make it easier for customers to monitor their transfers, ensuring that Ipswitch’s enterprise-grade secure file transfer solution will continue to be relied upon by thousands of organizations around the world.”
The MOVEit Transfer Live View dashboard allows users to view real time transfer upload and download activity, how fast transfers are happening, and provides better visibility to help meet SLA’s. The new MOVEit Automation dashboard aggregates and displays critical system metrics to help quickly identify issues that could impact critical transfers.
MOVEit 2018 Service Pack 2 also includes an Auditable Sign On Disclaimer feature that allows administrators to require end users to check a box when signing on in order to indicate acknowledgement with customer-defined policy consent or terms. Ipswitch customers can now prompt their end users to agree to security and other policies, as well as maintain proof of their acceptance. The tamper evident audit log includes the specific policy that was agreed to.
MOVEit 2018 Service Pack 2 also includes support for Microsoft Azure SQL database. This allows customers to reduce their licensing and operational costs when deploying MOVEit Transfer in the cloud.
MOVEit 2018 was released earlier this year featuring a new Secure Folder Sharing capability which offers a convenient, easy-to-use file sharing and collaboration capability that assures the data security, visibility and audit trails necessary when sharing sensitive or protected data.
MOVEit's flexible architecture allows you to choose the exact capabilities to match your organizations specific needs. MOVEit Transfer enables the consolidation of all file transfer activities to one system to ensure better management control over core business processes. MOVEit Automation works with MOVEit Transfer or FTP systems to provide advanced workflow automation capabilities without the need for scripting. MOVEit Cloud provides full security, reliability and compliance of MOVEit Transfer with the convenience of a cloud-based service.
