Lexington, MA – December 16, 2008 – Ipswitch, Inc.’s Network Management division, today announced that revenue levels have reached their highest in its 17 year history. Success throughout 2008 has been achieved by the launch and sales growth of its flagship network monitoring product, WhatsUp Gold version 12.3, and the performance of key personnel, resulting in a number of promotions and the division's restructuring.

Carboni, who became the Vice President of WW Sales, Marketing and Product Management for the Network Management Division of Ipswitch in September of 2007, immediately drove the division to its two best quarters in its history. Alongside Alessandro Porro, who joined Ipswitch in 2004 and has recently been promoted to Director of International Sales, Asia Pacific and Latin America, he has overseen International Revenue Growth increase by 22% from 2007 to 2008, EMEA by 24% and Asia Pacific (including Japan) and Latin America to rocket 115% from 2006 to 2008.
Having exceeded sales targets for North America in the past three years, former Director of Strategic Accounts Patrick Loring has been promoted to Director of North American Sales and Strategic Accounts. In his new role, Patrick is responsible for defining and managing the direct sales strategy for North America and all Strategic Sales to OEM partners. Since taking on the role, his team has achieved record new customer business and double-digit growth in recurring business. He has negotiated and closed strategic partnership contracts with Cisco Systems, General Dynamics (US Marine Corps), and Nothrop Grumman (US Army, US Air Force, and US Navy).
Elsewhere in the division, Tamara Hart has been promoted to Director of Global Marketing. Following successful stints as Channel Marketing Manager and International Marketing Manager, Hart is now responsible for the global marketing efforts of Ipswitch's Network Management division. "Tamara is a proven leader and will enable us to market our award-winning solutions across all geographies using traditional, social and viral marketing strategies with consistency and effectiveness," says Carboni.
Melissa Dougherty has been promoted to Manager of North American Channels. Dougherty brings 15 years of both reseller and manufacturer experience having worked for companies such as HP and Toshiba where she consistently delivered strong year over year growth in partner sales.
The impressive 24% growth in the EMEA market has also seen Mike Silva promoted to Sales Manager, EMEA. Mike joined Ipswitch in 2006 and has worked in the EMEA IT Channel since 1996. He started for Pan European Hardware and Software Distributor GE Access, where he managed the top resellers in the UK, Spain and Scandinavia.
