IMail Server 8.21 Update

Please Note

This update will only work for standalone installations of IMail Server 8.2. This update will not work for installations of Ipswitch Collaboration Suite.

Summary

This update updates the following:

  • Rolled up IMail v8.2 HF-1 and IMail v8.2 HF-2
  • SMTPD: Will now correctly start list server to send digest
  • STMPD: Fixed ability to restart queue manager on failure
  • SMTPD: Added server wide connection limit. Uses the following registry key to obtain the setting:
    path=SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\SMTPD32\\Parameters\
    value=ServerMaxConnections
    type=DWORD
    default value=1000
  • Import Utility: Updated utility to correctly update new columns in WGS database
  • Queue Manager: Add ability to copy previously orphaned files on startup after a queue manager failure.

Requirements:

  • You must have a current IMail Server 8.2 license key to install version 8.21.

How to update to version 8.21:

  1. Print this page as a reference during the installation process.
  2. Download the file imail821.exe by clicking on the link under the Download section above and save the file to your hard drive. We recommend saving the file to your Desktop as it will be easier to locate.
  3. Locate the imail821.exe file and double-click it to start the installation process.
  4. Follow the prompts on your screen.
