Appendix H. Changing the Look and Feel of Web Messaging
Each page that can be displayed in the Web Messaging interface is generated by a web template. You can edit the web templates to change the look and feel of the Web Messaging interface. If you have multiple mail hosts, each mail host can have a different Web Messaging interface.
Some examples of changes you can make are:
- You can easily change the "welcome" message and logo on the Logon page.
- You can change page background colors and styles, and button colors, styles, and labels by replacing the default graphics (.gif) files with your own graphic files.
- You can rearrange the components of a page (such as columns, buttons, list boxes and text boxes), and move or delete functions by editing the HTML code in the web templates.
- You can use IMAIL "tags" within a template to change the display of dynamic information, such as mailboxes and messages. For a complete guide to using tags in a template, see the "IMail Server Web Messaging Templates" document (tags.doc file in the [IMail top dir]\Web directory).
The following sections describe how the Web Messaging directories are structured and how to make changes to the interface.
