A Look at Services
Click the Services folder to see the IMail services and their current status. Later chapters describe the configuration options available for each service.

Verifying Services
You can modify configurations for each service by expanding the Services folder in the left panel, clicking the appropriate service name underneath it, and modifying the settings in the right panel.
After changing parameters, click Apply, stop the service, wait five to ten seconds, then start the service.
Default Service Ports
- SMTP: Port 25
- SMTP SSL: Port 465
- POP3: Port 110
- POP3 SSL: Port 995
- IMAP4: Port 143
- IMAP4 SSL: Port 993
- LDAP: Port 389
- Pserve (Password Server): Port 106
- Web Messaging: Port 8383 by default (configurable)
- Web Messaging SSL Port: 8384 by default (configurable)
- Spell Checker Port: 8385 by default (configurable)
- Web Calendaring: Port 8484 by default (configurable)
- Web Calendaring SSL: Port 8485 by default (configurable)
- IMonitor Web Administration: Port 8181 by default (configurable)
Web Messaging and Web Calendaring also use several UDP ports:
- Web Messaging: Port 8000
- Web Calendaring: Port 8001
These ports are used to facilitate communications between Web Messaging and Web Calendaring, such as receiving the user key and sending the user ID and password.
