SMTP Security
This chapter describes how you can secure your mail server against unwanted use. The SMTP server processes all incoming and outgoing messages. Due to the openness of the SMTP (Simple Mail Transport Protocol) and Internet protocols, it is difficult to block unwanted mail and at the same time keep your mail server available to your users and to other Internet mail users. Nonetheless, there are techniques you can use to secure your server.
Most of the security options discussed in this chapter can be found on the SMTP Security tab.
See "SMTP Server" for information about configuring the SMTP server.
