Roger Greene
Chief Executive Officer
Roger Greene founded Ipswitch in 1991 with more than ten years in the computer and Internet industries. Prior to founding Ipswitch, Greene was vice president of sales and marketing for FTP Software, a pioneer and leading supplier of TCP/IP software for personal computers. Greene has an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Computer Science from Duke University.
Lang Leonard
Chief Financial Officer
Lang Leonard joined Ipswitch in 2006 and has responsibility for all financial, legal and corporate human resource issues. With a distinguished track record of growing and developing organizations into market leaders, Leonard brings to Ipswitch a tighter focus on business process and financial discipline.
Prior to Ipswitch, Leonard spent several years at RSA Security where he was corporate controller and managed the financial operations for the $300 million public software company. Before RSA Security, Leonard was director of business development for Solectron Corporation where he developed a highly successful international expansion strategy for its $1 billion services organization. Earlier in his career, Leonard held management level positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers and The Learning Company. Leonard has a B.A. in Economics from Colgate and an MBA from Boston University School of Management. Leonard also has a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and passed the Massachusetts bar exam.
Azmi Jafarey
Chief Information Officer
Azmi Jafarey joined Ipswitch in 2005 and brings over 25 years of experience in information technology. Jafarey is responsible for IT and operations, including customer service and project management. His focus is on infrastructure, applications and processes that enable sustained business growth.
Before joining Ipswitch, Jafarey held positions as VP of IT and Customer Services at Vertical Communications, Inc., a leader in the telecom/convergence space. Prior to that he was with Solutia, Inc., a Fortune 500 chemical company, and Monsanto, a Fortune 50 company, where he managed global R&D Computing and Information Services as well as Systems groups. Jafarey has an M.S. degree in Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
Warren Neuburger
President, Network Management Division
Responsible for the strategic growth of Ipswitch’s award-winning WhatsUp Gold line of network management products, Warren Neuburger brings over 30 years of leadership experience in both startup and mature public companies to Ipswitch. His experience includes establishing emerging divisions as market leaders, creating new market segments, driving effective global channel strategies, and developing strong market leadership positions.
Most recently Neuburger served as president of the integrated systems division, Concurrent Computer Corporation (NASDAQ: CCUR), a global equipment provider of video on demand technology, where he was instrumental in growing and revitalizing the video on demand (VOD) and real time divisions. Prior to that he was the CEO of Optio Software (NASDAQ SCM: OPTOC), a global provider of infrastructure software, and at Glenayre (NASDAQ NM: GEMS), a telecommunications infrastructure provider, Neuburger served as executive vice president of products.
Neuburger also held senior positions with Voicecom Systems, Digital Equipment Corporation and earlier as a senior project engineer at Corning Glass Works. He holds a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS/BA in electrical engineering from Syracuse University.
Gary Shottes
President, File Transfer Division
Gary Shottes joined Ipswitch in 2006 and brings over 25 years of industry experience in technology companies. Shottes is responsible for the hands-on management and leadership of all domestic and international sales functions for the Company. Shottes is instrumental in managing the worldwide sales strategy through direct, distributor, reseller and OEM sales relationships. Shottes brings a depth of knowledge in identifying new business global opportunities and looking beyond traditional markets or segments.
Before joining Ipswitch, Shottes led the sales, marketing and services teams at Amherst Technologies, a top 150 storage, server and network-based solutions provider. At Amherst, Shottes developed and executed the company’s strategic plan and helped lead the organization through a critical transition. Prior to that he was the U.S. Vice President of Sales with Arrow, Inc., a $10.6 billion Fortune 100 distributor of products and services to the electronics and computer products industry company. Shottes has a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
Tripp Allen
President, Messaging Division
Tripp Allen joined Ipswitch in 2000 and brings over 20 years of related experience in technology companies. Allen is responsible for setting worldwide product strategy and overseeing the development and customer acceptance of the Messaging product line at Ipswitch. Allen has focused on integrating emergent technologies and processes into the product line, resulting in a streamlined, innovative and flexible messaging family that meets users' evolving needs.
Before joining Ipswitch, Allen held software development management positions at several technology companies, including Internet Financial Network and Affinity Technology Group, Inc. He also spent 10 years in the United States Air Force as a systems analyst prior to his work in the private sector. Allen has a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
