Chief Executive Officer
Joe Krivickas brings more than 30 years of experience in building and leading high-velocity software companies with an emphasis on developing and sustaining a strong culture. At Ipswitch, Krivickas sets the corporate strategy and drives the company’s vision across functions.
He is a veteran information technology industry president and CEO that has led several leading organizations through different phases of growth and ultimately acquisition including: the sale of Bluestone Software (NASDAQ: BLSW) to HP (NYSE: HPQ), the sale of Segue Software (NASDAQ: SEGU) to Borland (NASDAQ: BORL) and the sale of FAST (Oslo BORS: FAST) to Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT).
Most recently, Krivickas served as the CEO of SmartBear Software where he led the company in becoming the world’s largest volume supplier of testing tools with more than one million users. Under his leadership, the firm was selected as Glassdoor’s #2 Best Place to Work for Medium Sized Businesses in the country and received the Boston Globe’s 2013 Best Place to Work Award.
He served as an officer in the Army National Guard’s reconnaissance infantry and holds a BS in electronics engineering from the University of Scranton and an MBA in entrepreneurial management from the Wharton School of Business.
Chief Financial Officer
David Stott joined Ipswitch in 2013 and leads the company’s Finance and Human Resources functions. Prior to joining Ipswitch, Stott was the CFO of SolidWorks Corporation where over a 12-year period he served as controller, then CFO and treasurer. Under Stott’s financial leadership, SolidWorks grew from $100M to $500M in revenue and increased profitability from 29% to 43%.
He started his career at Polaroid, where over 17 years he had a number of positions, leading to division controller. At Polaroid, Stott had broad influence in many areas, including domestic and global financial management, marketing planning and analysis, large-scale systems implementations and process improvement.
He holds an MBA from Babson College and a BS in Accounting from Bentley College. Outside of work, Stott enjoys running and sailing, as well as spending time with his twin granddaughters.
Chief Information Officer
Azmi Jafarey joined Ipswitch in 2005 and brings more than 25 years of experience in information technology innovation. Jafarey is responsible for leading the IT department, which includes operations, infrastructure, business applications and data analytics. His focus is on having IT be the creative edge of the Ipswitch business, providing competitive advantage for the company and enabling the company to meet its aggressive targets for growth and profitability.
Before joining Ipswitch, Jafarey held positions as vice president of IT and Tech Services at Vertical Communications, Inc. Prior to that he was with Solutia, Inc., and Monsanto, where he managed global R&D Computing and Information Services as well as Systems groups. Jafarey holds an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. In 2013, he was named CIO of the Year by the Boston Business Journal.
Chief Product Officer
Austin O’Malley brings more than 25 years of product leadership experience to Ipswitch in his role as Chief Product Officer. With responsibility for all product management and R&D activities, Austin is responsible for charting the company’s future product and technology strategies.
In his previous role as Executive Vice President of R&D at SolidWorks Corporation, Austin directed the planning and delivery of nine award winning SolidWorks releases. He additionally served as Chief Technology Officer and was one of the original developers of SolidWorks’ award-winning products that created a base of more than two million users with revenue over $500M. As a leader of change, Austin was responsible for integrating several product acquisitions and helping SolidWorks to win Best Places to Work awards from the Boston Globe and Boston Business Journal. Austin was also a technical lead at PTC (formerly Computervision), where he held the positions of Senior Manager and Senior Technology Consultant.
Austin holds a B.S. in computer science from Boston University and studied executive management at Harvard Business School.
Tripp Allen, Executive Vice President, Technical Operations
Tripp Allen is the Executive Vice President of Technical Operations at Ipswitch, responsible for managing the global network of technical engineers and analysts that support the entire Ipswitch product portfolio. Additionally, Allen leads the strategic operations for Ipswitch’s continuous customer engineering, which is a development team tasked with implementing ongoing customer needs.
Prior to his current position, Allen was the president of the Ipswitch Messaging Division where he was responsible for setting worldwide product strategy and overseeing the development and customer acceptance of the Messaging product line. He focused on integrating emergent technologies and processes into the product line, resulting in a streamlined, innovating and flexible messaging family that met users’ evolving needs.
Before joining Ipswitch, he held software development management positions at several technology companies, including Internet Financial Network and Affinity Technology Group, Inc. Prior to his work in the private sector, he spent 10 years in the United States Air Force as a systems analyst. Allen has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Executive Vice President, Customer Solutions
Ennio Carboni plays a critical role in accelerating company growth and continued market leadership by helping customers around the world to take what is complex about IT and make it simple. He is the company’s lead strategist to ensure customer success in their use of IT management and file transfer solutions, while leading the worldwide global sales organization.
Most recently, Carboni was president of the Ipswitch Network Management Division where he was responsible for strategic direction and management of the business. Since joining the company in 2005, Carboni led the division to 300% revenue growth. Prior to Ipswitch, he held leadership positions at CA, IMlogic (acquired by Symantec) and RSA Security where he led product development for the company’s most innovative Internet security solutions.
Carboni sits on the board of Room to Grow, a non-profit organization that enriches the lives of babies born into poverty. Carboni holds an MS in Criminology and an MBA in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
Vice President of Engineering, Programs & Cloud Operations, FT Products
Cheryl Galvin is the Vice President of Engineering, Programs & Cloud Operations, FT Products with responsibility for the implementation, management, supervision, and evaluation of all Ipswitch programs. Galvin brings strong leadership and problem solving skills as she builds effective organizations while balancing organizational agility and process discipline.
Before joining Ipswitch, she spent more than 15 years working for Digital Equipment Corporation as a Group Engineering Manager. Following this position, Galvin held several engineering director positions within the wireless industry and telecommunications industry, including CSI Netlink, Nortel Networks, AutoCell Labs, and Airvana, where she accumulated a proven track record as a product development leader and successful manager of multimillion-dollar projects.
She has a BS in Computer Science from Fitchburg State College and an M.B.A. from Babson College, F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
Vice President, Finance
Frank Girolamo brings more than 30 years of experience to Ipswitch and oversees operations and finance functions. His focus areas include inventory management, valuation, cost management, international operations and M&A.
Prior to joining Ipswitch, Girolamo held senior leadership roles with Grand Circle Travel, New England Business Service and Manufacturing Finance. He holds a BS in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance from Northeastern University.
