Chief Executive Officer
Joe Krivickas brings more than 30 years of experience in building and leading high-velocity software companies with an emphasis on developing and sustaining a strong culture. At Ipswitch, Krivickas sets the corporate strategy and drives the company’s vision across functions.
He is a veteran information technology industry president and CEO who has led several leading organizations through different phases of growth and ultimately acquisition including: the sale of Bluestone Software (NASDAQ: BLSW) to HP (NYSE: HPQ), the sale of Segue Software (NASDAQ: SEGU) to Borland (NASDAQ: BORL) and the sale of FAST (Oslo BORS: FAST) to Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT).
Most recently, Krivickas served as the CEO of SmartBear Software where he led the company in becoming the world’s largest volume supplier of testing tools with more than one million users. Under his leadership, the firm was selected as Glassdoor’s #2 Best Place to Work for Medium Sized Businesses in the country and received the Boston Globe’s 2013 Best Place to Work Award.
He served as an officer in the Army National Guard’s reconnaissance infantry and holds a BS in electronics engineering from the University of Scranton and an MBA in entrepreneurial management from the Wharton School of Business.
Chief Financial Officer
David Stott joined Ipswitch in 2013 and leads the company’s Finance and Human Resources functions. Prior to joining Ipswitch, Stott was the CFO of SolidWorks Corporation where over a 12-year period he served as controller, then CFO and treasurer. Under Stott’s financial leadership, SolidWorks grew from $100M to $500M in revenue and increased profitability from 29% to 43%.
He started his career at Polaroid, where over 17 years he had a number of positions, leading to division controller. At Polaroid, Stott had broad influence in many areas, including domestic and global financial management, marketing planning and analysis, large-scale systems implementations and process improvement.
He holds an MBA from Babson College and a BS in Accounting from Bentley College. Outside of work, Stott enjoys running and sailing, as well as spending time with his twin granddaughters.
Chief Information Officer
Azmi Jafarey joined Ipswitch in 2005 and brings more than 25 years of experience in information technology innovation. Jafarey is responsible for leading the IT department, which includes operations, infrastructure, business applications and data analytics. His focus is on having IT be the creative edge of the Ipswitch business, providing competitive advantage for the company and enabling the company to meet its aggressive targets for growth and profitability.
Before joining Ipswitch, Jafarey held positions as vice president of IT and Tech Services at Vertical Communications, Inc. Prior to that he was with Solutia, Inc., and Monsanto, where he managed global R&D Computing and Information Services as well as Systems groups. Jafarey holds an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. In 2013, he was named CIO of the Year by the Boston Business Journal.
Chief Product Officer
Austin O’Malley brings more than 25 years of product leadership experience to Ipswitch in his role as Chief Product Officer. With responsibility for all product management and R&D activities, Austin is responsible for charting the company’s future product and technology strategies.
In his previous role as Executive Vice President of R&D at SolidWorks Corporation, Austin directed the planning and delivery of nine award winning SolidWorks releases. He additionally served as Chief Technology Officer and was one of the original developers of SolidWorks’ award-winning products that created a base of more than two million users with revenue over $500M. As a leader of change, Austin was responsible for integrating several product acquisitions and helping SolidWorks to win Best Places to Work awards from the Boston Globe and Boston Business Journal. Austin was also a technical lead at PTC (formerly Computervision), where he held the positions of Senior Manager and Senior Technology Consultant.
Austin holds a B.S. in computer science from Boston University and studied executive management at Harvard Business School.
Executive Vice President, Sales & Customer Advocacy
Diane Albano credentials span more than 30 years. She has led numerous high performance sales teams at every level, including SmartBear Inc., Deltek Inc., Fast (a subsidiary of Microsoft), Progress Software, Aspen Technology and Genuity. She spent 17 years at Digital Equipment Corporation as a top sales performer, managing key, global accounts and progressing her career in sales and marketing leadership positions. When she started working in high tech sales in the early 1980’s, there were few women in the industry so she looked to her passion of helping others – her customers – for motivation. As a result, she has won the hearts and minds of many customers throughout her career.
Diane has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts and attended the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development. Outside of work, she is active with her family, skiing, golfing, playing tennis, scuba diving and travelling the world.
Chief Marketing Officer
Jeff Loeb is chief marketing officer for Ipswitch and leads all aspects of the company’s worldwide marketing including strategy, messaging and positioning, brand development, demand generation, digital marketing, analyst and public relations, website messaging, and social media strategy. Jeff has more than 20 years of experience in the software industry, creating market leadership and driving high velocity sales through modern digital marketing.
Prior to Ipswitch, Jeff held leadership positions with Compuware, Gomez, RSA Security, Acronis and Oracle. Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MBA from MIT.
Executive Vice President, Customer Satisfaction
Richard Welch brings over 30 years of IT software development, customer service, and customer support experience to Ipswitch where he is responsible for improving customers’ experiences and satisfaction rates with products and services. Most recently Richard was the vice president of worldwide customer support and operations at Liaison International. Prior to Liaison, Richard spent nearly ten years as the vice president of customer support services and operations for SolidWorks Corp, where he oversaw a nearly 25 percent increase in customer satisfaction rates while maintenance revenue increased 350 percent in tandem.
Richard has also held senior executive positions at Netegrity, ATG and Parametric Technology Corp, with prior roles held at Stone and Webster Corporation and Prime Computer. Richard holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
