IPSWITCH , INC. ANNOUNCES 14-DAY ASIA PACIFIC TOUR
Multiple Meetings in Tokyo, Osaka, Taipei and Hong Kong Reflect the Company’s Strong Commitment to Burgeoning Market Opportunity
Lexington, Massachusetts - February 6, 2006 – Ipswitch, Inc. has announced a 14-day, 18,000-mile tour of the Asia Pacific region beginning today to meet with its premiere distribution partner, numerous resellers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and other potential alliance candidates. Focused on four major Asia Pacific cities where some 15 significant product, technology, and channel meetings and events are planned, the tour advances the Company’s growing commitment to an area where 18% growth for Ipswitch in 2005 outstripped every other market worldwide.
In the region, Ipswitch enjoys a strong, 10-year ongoing relationship with one of Japan’s leading master distributors, KGT, Inc. In addition, Ipswitch has created a dedicated staff and corporate presence in the area. Led since September 2005 by Ipswitch Account Executive Toru Sakakibara, this Japan-based corporate commitment to the Company’s KGT partnership as well as to regional resellers, businesses and potential alliance partners has significantly raised awareness of Ipswitch’s SME software solutions.
While the Company’s leading edge messaging solutions have traditionally drawn the greatest interest in the Asia Pacific region, the Ipswitch team will be presenting an all-products update of its network management, data management, email and file transfer solutions which are rapidly gaining equally strong traction in the area. The team will also preview the product localization initiative that will be completed in the second quarter. This initiative consists of translating essential components of the Company’s latest software solutions for the Japanese language.
In all, four key product marketing and channel executives from Ipswitch will convene in Tokyo and continue on through mid-February to Osaka, Taipei, and Hong Kong. Joining Toru Sakakibara will be: Product Marketing Director, David Karp; Director of Worldwide Channel Sales, Tony Luzza; and Channel Marketing Manager, International, Tamara Hart.
Ipswitch develops and markets software that works for small and mid-sized businesses worldwide.
