Expanded Distribution Expected To Grow Ipswitch Sales in Mexico by 50% or More
Lexington, Massachusetts - December 7, 2005 – Adding to its existing presence and reach in the rapidly growing Mexican marketplace, Ipswitch, Inc. has announced today the signing of Mayoristas de Partes y Servicios, S.A. de C.V (MAPS), a Mexico City-based value added distributor with additional offices in Guadalajara, Monterrey, Leon and Puebla. MAPS joins Ipswitch’s existing distributor, Version S.A. de C.V., which covers other principal geographies in Mexico. Ipswitch, the leading worldwide provider of software solutions for small- to mid-sized businesses (SMBs) said the addition of MAPS is expected to result in a more than 50% increase in revenues for 2006.
Operating with a classic distributor model of 100% of all sales being made to its more than 250 value added resellers in the channel, MAPS is also unique for its strong focus on extensive support programs including training, certification, and marketing assistance. Ipswitch’s SMB software solutions for collaboration, network management and monitoring, and file transfer will join MAPS existing portfolio of products from companies such as Nokia, Websense, SonicWALL, Panda Software, D-Link, SafeNet and others.
“It is excellent news that we are integrating Ipswitch solutions to our offerings,” said Hugo Giusti, general manager of MAPS Security Solutions. “The implementation of Ipswitch solutions is an ideal complement to all the solutions that reach our Value Added Resellers. We both welcome Ipswitch and look forward to a very successful relationship.”
According to Tony Luzza, director of worldwide channel sales at Ipswitch, MAPS delivers the perfect alignment for the Company’s rapidly growing marketing and distribution objectives in Mexico. “This unique distributor is in all the right places; is focused on all the right things when it comes to its channel focus and support policies, and they have a proven reputation for understanding ‘right-sized’ software solutions for SMBs.” Luzza added, “With MAPS representing us in the region, we look forward to tremendous expansion for Ipswitch and our products in Mexico this year.”
