Lexington, Mass. – August 8, 2005 – Unipalm, the specialist distributor of Internet technology solutions, and Ipswitch, the leading developer of network management, messaging and file transfer solutions , have collaborated to donate over 3,300 GBP to Macmillan Cancer Relief.

The donation was made possible with revenue from a Unipalm sales incentive program for Ipswitch WhatsUp®, Ipswitch Collaboration Suite and market leading file transfer protocol products, Ipswitch WS_FTP® Professional client and Ipswitch WS_FTP Server. Through a direct mail campaign and heightened visibility on Unipalm’s website, partners were encouraged to push these products in a bid to raise more money for the donation.

“We are very grateful to Ipswitch for its generosity in this donation. Incentive programs are an invaluable business activity but it is unusual and very welcome to have one where a deserving charity benefits,” says Rob Nash, director of e-Business at Unipalm. “As the program helped us increase sales, Ipswitch committed to donate a percentage of profit to Macmillan Cancer Relief, generating a ‘feel-good factor’ for employees across both companies.”

“Community involvement is an integral part of our culture and values. Through our unique iCare initiative we commit 5 percent of our profits to a wide variety of community investment programs and encourage our partners across the world to be involved,” says Roger Greene, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Ipswitch. “This year, we chose Macmillan Cancer Relief in the UK as one of the organizations in our annual Charitable Giving Program as we feel this is a worthy cause affecting many people’s lives.”
