Ipswitch, Inc., the leading developer of network management, messaging and file transfer solutions for small and medium businesses, today announced that during the first week of availability, Ipswitch WhatsUp® Professional had over 800 customers install and activate the product. This overwhelmingly positive response proves that Ipswitch's completely revised and updated network monitoring solution can be quickly utilized to deliver immediate results. Customers' speedy implementation of Ipswitch WhatsUp Professional on this broad scale is an unprecedented validation of the product's feature set and usability.
“Adoption of WhatsUp Professional at this rapid pace confirms that SMBs are looking for network management solutions that just work without the high administrative and technical costs of legacy tools,” remarked Alex Neihaus, vice president of marketing at Ipswitch, Inc. “Ipswitch has a long tradition of developing solutions that make a direct contribution to the productivity of a small-to mid-sized business. We are not surprised that the SMB market would adopt solutions designed specifically for its needs at this rate because enterprise vendors’ network tools do not serve this market effectively.”
Designed specifically for the small-to-mid sized business environment, Ipswitch WhatsUp Professional delivers a comprehensive network monitoring solution that is easy to implement, requires little-to-no ongoing administrative effort and provides deep network monitoring and visualization capabilities. Unlike network management solutions designed for large enterprises, WhatsUp Professional will not overburden a smaller sized business with a complex solution that incurs high administrative costs for installation and ongoing support.
“Computing networks have become increasingly dynamic, so businesses should look for a network monitoring solution that’s able to contribute rapidly and adaptively to the management of that business resource,” said Dennis Drogseth, vice president at analyst firm Enterprise Management Associates. “Ipswitch WhatsUp Professional’s flexible architecture delivers alerts, performance and health information for a broader range of devices and market-responsive new features. Mid-sized businesses and enterprise departments should appreciate this combination of easy deployment and versatile monitoring to maintain productivity.”
Key Ipswitch WhatsUp Professional features include:
- Enhanced monitoring and alerts, including automated network device discovery
- Performance and health information for an extensive range of devices
- Secure remote access via the Web
- Scalable data storage and integrated reporting
